A qualitative study on the location of this project was required in order to create a new urban and landscape fringe at the edge of the motorway infrastructure by a flood zone.

The city also wanted to develop an exemplary public space project beyond expectation; creating signage and staking land, ensuring accessibility for all, continuity of routes and inclusive facilities.

Building from the guide plan developed by the ANMA (National Agency for Energy Conservation,) the project involves co-programming emblematic spaces linked to dance, sport and music: an 8 ha urban park, three local squares, two narrow footpaths as well as a high promenade overlooking the park. Particular attention was paid to the design of a unique play area in one of the three squares which serves to promote and facilitate the installation of sustainable equipment as well as being a space for ephemeral events and demonstrations. This equipment will be innovative and creative, able to accomodate children from all over the area, including children with disabilities. The exceptional equipment in the square will encourage new activities in the neighbourhood, making the whole sector more appealing.

The landscape plan of the project includes a diverse plant palette which gives pride of place to Mediterranean species, providing potential habitats for urban biodiversity. Differentiated management of the urban park and meadows and a green network throughout the district helps to revitalise the urban ecosystem. A more intrusive landscape grid establishes planting that penetrates the neighbourhood.
