Located in Lormont, on the right side of Bordeaux, this playground is found in Génicart square.
At the centre of the neighborhood, between the three remaining towers, the Génicart square offers a new esplanade with an unprecedented configuration. A careful management of the budget for this urban project with a simple treatment of public spaces made the installation of this play structure possible.
The Génicart square is the first of its kind with a belvedere elevated 4m from the ground, overlooking the neighborhood. Towards the end of the construction, it was christened the ‘general headquarters’ by a local child from the area. The playful side of the Genicart square boosts the familial character of the neighbourhood. The play feature stays open at night.
